About Kate

She has been acting for 18 years (since her preschool's production of High School Musical when she was 4 years old) and is a recent graduate of American University in Washington DC, where she received a B.A. in Musical Theatre with a minor in Sociology. Kate is based in DC and New York. But no matter where she is, you can typically find Kate with a pair of sunglasses on her head, an iced coffee (more specifically an iced caramel latte) in her hand, and a polaroid camera in her bag. Outside of performing, Kate loves to spend time with family/friends, journal, read, and make posts/reels/etc. for social media!

Kate has always cherished the community aspect of theatre and is extremely grateful for the lifelong friendships she has gained through it. She believes that storytelling is one of the greatest, most fulfilling things someone can do and the magic we create in theatre is truly singular. Studying sociology also allowed Kate to deepen her artistry by utilizing the ways that people organize themselves in society to be a lens through which she explores the characters she plays. Kate aspires to make people feel through her work on stage.

Of the 60+ productions she has performed in, some of Kate's favorite roles include Doralee Rhodes (9 to 5), Little Sally (Urinetown), Mrs. Jennings (Sense and Sensibility), Amy March (Little Women), Little Red Riding Hood (Into the Woods), & Belle (Beauty and the Beast).
